Question

Answer

How and when will the changes be implemented?

The DBS programme will have a significant impact on services and how they are delivered.  Many services will be redesigned by service management with the support of the DBS programme and Personnel.

A phased implementation will start in Spring 2010 with a target date for completion of Autumn 2011.

Appointments to any new structure will be made in accordance with the change management policy and procedures for DBS.  Depending on the nature of the change this may involve, for example, automatic matching, competitive matching or competitive recruitment and selection.  The particular measures to be applied in each case will be detailed in the Change Management Plan.

When staff are redeployed or their duties change, they will be fully supported to make the change, including being offered retraining, where appropriate.

How will I be supported in my job/retraining?

Will new job be job matched?

This depends on the extent of the change between your current post and the new post. Where the substantive duties and responsibilities are mostly or mainly the same, where the grade is the same as current grade or one up/down, and where no other staff in the same role are displaced, then you will be matched to the new job.
