Healthy Fun at Cluny Primary School
Date -17 Mar 2005 Return to previous page

Pupils at Cluny Primary School, Buckie will be taking part in 3 days of healthy fun from Monday 21st March 2005, to celebrate their work towards becoming a Health Promoting School.

The Scottish Executive has identified 9 health priorities – Physical activity, food and health, mental health and wellbeing, smoking, dental/oral health, alcohol, drugs, sexual health and accident prevention.  Pupils, staff and parents have decided that the top priorities for Cluny Primary School will be food and health, physical activity and dental/oral health.

Pupils will have the opportunity to take part in dance sessions, healthy eating workshops, playground fun, toothnology workshops, workshops for older pupils about alcohol, drugs and tobacco and how to look after themselves.  Agencies including NHS Grampian, the Moray Council’s Youth Sports Development Worker and Youth Dance Development Worker and the Active Schools Co-ordinator for Buckie Primary Schools are looking forward to delivering these sessions and having fun along with the pupils.
