Moray Council’s Community Services Committee welcomed the level of Communities Scotland’s investment in Moray during 2004/05 and the level of investment proposed for 2005/06.

The Council heard that investment in the current year totals £4.5m, with planned investment of £3.6m in 2005/06.

Councillor George McIntyre, Vice Chair of the Community Services Committee said, “This level of investment is welcome, particularly as it represents a substantial increase from previous years.  It enables the provision of affordable housing in Moray which is necessary to meet identified housing needs”.
