A Polish-Scottish party will be held in Buckie this Saturday to launch a Welcome Pack, developed by the Moray Council and funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) Moray and the European Social Fund.
The Pack is a guide to living and working in Scotland and Moray and is aimed at people new to the area. The first pack has been translated into Polish to assist those who have come to work in Moray’s food processing industries and further translations are planned for the future.
The event, organised by the Polish community, will take place at the Buckie Thistle Football Club, Victoria Park Hall, Saturday 24th September, from 7.30 p.m. and is open to the general public. Mateusz Nalecz, Adult Education Worker with the Moray Council said, “Everybody is welcome! It is a chance for people to meet and have a good time. There will be Polish food and music and a bar. Bring your family and friends!”
Copies of the Welcome Pack (in Polish) will be available at the event.
