The Moray Council will be holding a ‘Coaching Children and Young People’ course on Thursday 27th October as part of its annual sportscoach UK programme.  The venue is Greenwards Primary School and the course runs from 6.30pm until 9.30pm. 

The course will cover awareness of the differences in expectation and approach that working with young performers demands.  It helps coaches adapt their coaching practices to meet the unique needs of the young participant and covers how children develop physically and emotionally, how they learn and improve skills and helps coaches to identify and develop elite performers from a young age. The course is suitable for anyone with some experience of coaching children and young people and costs £27.00.  Sports clubs affiliated to sportMoray can apply for help with the costs.
