Did you know that basketball is one of the most popular team sports in Moray with young people? There is a growing number of young people playing basketball and the time is right for getting everyone interested/involved in basketball around the table to look at what can be done to provide a better structure for coaching, competition and coach and volunteer training.
Those with an interest/involvement at any level are invited to attend a public meeting to be held on 22nd January at 6.30pm in The Green Room at Elgin Community Centre. The evening will be hosted by Moray Council's Sports Development Service and will also be attended by the Grampian Basketball Development Officer, Grant Wilson.
There will be a short presentation on the current situation followed by a general discussion on basketball in Moray. Hopefully the meeting will be the first step to people working together to increase the number of people playing the game of basketball in the area. If you have an interest or an involvement in basketball and would be interested in developing the game in Moray, please come along.
