Moray Council today welcomed the Scottish Government’s intervention in tycoon Donald Trump’s proposal for a major golf resort on the Aberdeenshire coast.
Councillors on the environmental services committee unanimously supported a motion commending ministers for calling in the planning application after it was rejected by Aberdeenshire Council’s infrastructure committee.
The motion was tabled by Councillor Pearl Paul who said the Trump Organisation’s proposal would have a huge economic impact from which Moray would benefit.
“It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the north-east,” said Councillor Paul.
