Moray Council’s new depute convener is Councillor Allan Wright.

He was appointed at today’s full council meeting in succession to Councillor Alastair Bisset, who died last month.

Councillor Wright, one of four councillors representing the Heldon and Laich ward, was elected to Moray Council last May.

Prior to that he was a member of Dumfries and Galloway Council for eight years.
