Four pupils from Craigellachie Primary School have won through to the final of a Euro-quiz to be held in the debating chamber at the Scottish Parliament next month.

Primary six classmates Aileen Erginsoy, Freya Middlehurst, Andrew Frampton and Rachael Wright-Forsyth were victorious in the Moray heat of the competition held in Elgin today (Monday, April 21).

They will now go on to the national final of the quiz, organised by the Scottish European Educational Trust, in Edinburgh on May 12.

Teams will be asked questions about Europe and the European Union covering a wide range of topics, including history, geography, economics, politics, basic foreign language skills, current affairs, the environment, music and the arts.

The Scottish European Educational Trust was set up in 1993 to provide information about Europe and the European Union to schools, colleges and universities.
