Moray Council has posted warning signs at burial grounds where members of the public have complained about being dive-bombed by nesting gulls.
Problems have been reported at a number of cemeteries where visitors have been attacked by swooping gulls.
The warning comes as the birds begin to lay eggs and rear chicks, of which the adult gulls are extremely protective.
Gulls are protected by law and it is an offence to interfere with them, their nests, eggs and young.
The notices, which have been erected at the entrance to cemeteries, give advice on how to avoid being attacked and how to deter swooping gulls.
