Fisheries fund seminar at Buckie

Buckie is to host a seminar on the European Fisheries Fund (EFF) later this month. 

The fund was set up to assist with capital investment in the aquaculture, fishing and fish processing industries. 

It can also support strategic trade initiatives, fisheries-dependent communities and Scottish Government and European Community policy initiatives for the sustainable development of communities. 

The EFF programme provides funding towards fishing vessels, aquaculture and fish processing enterprises, ports and harbours and sustainable fisheries communities. 

The seminar, which will include a presentation by EFF staff from the Scottish Government, will be held at the Buckie Town House on Thursday, March 19 from 9.30am to 12.30pm. 

It is free and is open to individuals, companies, community representatives and public bodies.
