Carriageway Resurfacing

Date Added - 03/08/09

The next phase of Moray Council's programme of carriageway resurfacing will get under way next week and continue well into September.

Work will be carried out on a number of streets and rural roads in the Elgin, Lossiemouth and Birnie areas and efforts will be made to keep disruption to a minimum.

Programmed for resurfacing in Elgin are Pinefield Crescent, High School Drive, Lesmurdie Road, the New Elgin Road railway bridge, while in Lossiemouth work will be carried out on Hill Street and Town Hall Lane.

Elsewhere, the programme includes the B9010 near Cloddach, the Thomshill-Birnie road, the A941 north of Fogwatt and at the Craigellachie bridge, the B9102 at Dandaleith Brae, the B9040 near Plewlands, the Teindland road near Errol Farm and the C1E Clackmarras-Lhanbryde road.

Road users are asked to be patient while the works are in progress and road closures will be necessary at some sites in the interests of safety.

Moray Council apologises for any inconvenience and queries should be directed to the roads maintenance section on 01343 557300.
