The opening of the relocated Findochty public library has been delayed due to technical problems.
The library was due to reopen next Tuesday at its new location within Findochty Primary School following its transfer from Commercial Street.
However, difficulties with security fittings on the entrance door mean there can be no public access until the problem is resolved.
Moray Council libraries and museums manager Alistair Campbell said: “This is clearly disappointing for the public and the libraries service, but until the appropriate systems are in place we cannot go ahead with the reopening.
“As soon as we have clearance that all measures are in place the library will open and the community will be informed.”
