Trading standards ‘scam fortnight’

Moray Council’s trading standards team will be running a campaign to gather intelligence on mass mailing scams from February 13 to 24.
The public will be encouraged to drop off any scam mailings they have received in designated ‘scam fortnight’ bins which will be located in local libraries at Aberlour, Buckie, Elgin, Forres and Keith.
Nearly half of the UK adult population has been targeted by scams, with some 3.2 million people falling victim each year. Scams range from deceptive unsolicited mailings or phone calls to e-mails and text messages.
