Moray Council’s adult literacies service is offering help for young adults seeking the skills to manage their money better.

The Essential Skills course for 16 to 25-year-olds will look at budgeting skills and spending habits.

Youth literacies worker Tracy Sadaheo said: “Managing our budgets, often on limited income, is a challenge for everyone. Numeracy skills are important but there are also the literacy skills involved in dealing with complex information from agencies, banks and so on.

“But just as important is building awareness of our habits and attitudes and then getting to grips with how to change them.”

The course – entitled Money, Money, Money – will run in Elgin on four Wednesday afternoons beginning on June 27. Places can be booked by calling Tracy Sadaheo on 01343 556212 or Louise Dalziel on 01343 829026.
