Problems with the water supply to Moray Council’s new headquarters annexe have been resolved.
Staff in the building, which opened in February, have been supplied with bottled water over the past few weeks because of the poor quality of the mains water supply.
Initial attempts to identify the source of the problem were unsuccessful but the supply has now been given the all-clear and declared safe to use.
A council spokesman said staff safety had been the main priority throughout.
He said: “The water storage and distribution system in the annexe building has now been cleaned and disinfected and has been confirmed as safe to use without restriction by both the council’s water hygiene specialist and NHS Grampian’s consultant in public health medicine.
“We are grateful to staff for their patience and forbearance over the past month while this issue was investigated and resolved.”
