Libraries month in Moray

Date Added - 15/02/13

Learning libraries storytime

March is to be designated as libraries month in Moray to help showcase the range of services available in local libraries.

Throughout the month there will be events and activities taking place in libraries across Moray, including talks, children’s story times, book sales, computer taster sessions and job club meetings.

Thursday, March 7 is World Book Day, an international celebration of books and reading, but Moray Council’s libraries service felt that a single day was not long enough to spread the word about all that goes on in libraries.

Instead it has decided to dedicate the whole of March to encouraging people to explore what they have to offer.

Building on the success of the recently introduced e-book service, free e-audio – downloadable audiobooks – and the new library app will be launched during the month.

There will be a number of special offers running in libraries throughout March, including the chance to win a prize for library members who introduce a friend to the library.

Details of the full month’s programme of events are available from local libraries or by e-mailing elgin.library@moray.gov.uk
