Children's Panel
Description

Each of the 32 Local Authorities in Scotland has its own Children’s Panel.   Panel members are asked to make decisions in the best interests of children and young people normally up to the age of 16.   Cases sometimes involve children who have offended or who have been offended against or require extra care.   All the children have a need and the Panel members are expected to help decide how that need can be met.

Panel members are unpaid volunteers and new members are recruited each year from every area of the community.   This process takes place in September and October.   If you feel you could be part of the Moray Children’s Panel please apply at that time.
