The Moray Council’s Revenues Section is responsible for the administration and recovery of Non-Domestic Rates (also sometimes called “Business Rates”) on properties not in domestic use (e.g. hotels, offices, public houses, shops, etc) in Moray. The section’s administrative workload includes providing advice about entitlement to reliefs and exemptions, and ensuring that bills are promptly issued when Non-Domestic Rates-payers move between properties. It also provides advice on payment of bills, including payment by direct debit and online payment. The Revenues Section is also responsible for the collection of unpaid Non-Domestic Rates, and it issues final notices and warrants to collect unpaid rates. It also provides assistance and advice to people who are having difficulties making payment of Non-Domestic Rates bills.
