Funerals

Under the National Assistance Act 1948 where it appears that no suitable arrangements for the disposal of the body have been or are being made for a person who has died in Moray, the Environmental Health Section will make such arrangements.

Help may be available with the cost of a funeral if the deceased's partner, close relative or friend are in receipt of certain benefits and are having difficulty meeting the cost of the funeral.
