FOI Request - District Heating Networks
Citizens Advice Scotland is the statutory watchdog for energy consumers and we are currently collecting information on heat networks in Scotland to inform our research programme on Heat supply. We would very much appreciate your completing the attached form with any information that you hold on heat networks/district heating schemes in your area.
District Heating has many potential benefits in that it can provide lower cost, lower carbon heat to consumers. As consumer watchdog we are collecting information on district heating to gather a clear picture of the present nature of heat networks in Scotland and across GB. We will to use this information to help inform the roll out of district heating. We intend to use the information to aid all involved parties in implementing district heating with best practice.
Whilst we are very keen to get as much information on heat networks as is available, we hope to make this task as convenient as possible for you to undertake. Therefore if you have already completed the Heat Networks notification template for the National Measurement and Regulation Office then you may prefer to forward this and to only complete the additional questions included in the FOI request form. If you are unsure how to answer any of the questions but hold information which you think might be relevant then please feel free to forward this to us.
The information requested can be found here.
