Burghead harbour

Burghead harbour occupies a sheltered position and consists of a single basin. It has excellent stevedore facilities and is the operational base for a growing number of inshore fishing vessels engaged mainly in the shellfish and squid industry.

Those visiting Burghead harbour by vessel should contact the harbour office to inform them of your arrival. You can call 01343 835337 or radio VHF Channel 16, working channel 14.

Pleasure berths are available at this harbour but due to popular demand, a waiting list (pdf) is currently in operation.

There is a slipway at the harbour for launch of boats and craft. A charge is levied for this service, which can be viewed here (pdf).

Burghead bay is an excellent spot for walkers, while watersports enthusiasts can take to the waves.
