Please would you send me the following information:

a) The budget set aside for or the amount of money which the council expects to spend on public Christmas decorations/celebrations/events in 2016/17.

b) The amount of money which the council spent on public Christmas decorations/celebrations/events in 2015/16.

* The term ‘public Christmas decorations/celebrations/events’ would include such things as festive street lights or decorations; council-organised parades, ‘switching-on’ ceremonies or Christmas fairs; bulk orders of festive bunting, lights or tinsel for public buildings.
It would not include items such as incidental receipts for tinsel in workplaces or events for employees only, such as office nights out.

Nil by the Moray Council directly. 

Elgin BID and Moray Towns Partnership may support Christmas from their budget allocations.
