Response 10-01-2017

The Moray Council has not yet provided any responses to the correspondence listed.

They are  awaiting clarification  from the Home Office to issues raised by COSLA about the legality  of transfer of children from  England to Scotland given the differences in Childcare legislation and  awaiting advice on  measures being discussed with the Scottish Government COSLA and the Care Inspectorate with regard to a more flexible response to the care of Asylum seeking children. With regard to other schemes being suggested this Council is undertaking a review of our capacity  to resettle refugees and unaccompanied asylum seeking children under a range of schemes in addition to our current  active participation in the Syrian Resettlement Programme.
