Response 17-02-2017

We do not have specific Mental Health Link Workers in our schools. In Secondary Schools, guidance staff are the point of contact for any issues that young people face.

We do not have specific school counsellors. In Secondary Schools, if pupils need to access support for issues they face they can approach guidance staff, home school link workers, school nurse, locality wellbeing staff.

School nurses are employed by NHS Scotland. A nurse is available in each Secondary Schools for 3 hours per week or when appointments are scheduled. In Primary Schools a nurse comes in when appointments are scheduled.
