A1. No children are being settled in Moray under the Dubs Amendment under section 67 of the immigration Act.
A2 The Council made no decision to offer child refugees under the Dubs amendment
A3: The Moray Council has not yet provided any responses to the correspondence received from the Government. They are awaiting clarification from the Home Office to issues raised by COSLA about the legality of transfer of children from England to Scotland given the differences in Childcare legislation and awaiting advice on measures being discussed with the Scottish Government COSLA and the Care Inspectorate with regard to a more flexible response to the care of Asylum seeking children. With regard to other schemes being suggested this Council is undertaking a review of our capacity to resettle refugees and unaccompanied asylum seeking children under a range of schemes in addition to our current active participation in the Syrian Resettlement Programme. Moray currently house 11 children who are members of families who arrived in moray last year under the SRP *(Formerly SVPRS)
