FOI Request Offensive Weapons and Smoking Fines

  1. How many offensive weapons have been confiscated from pupils in your respective council primary and secondary schools in the past 10 years? In each case please specify exactly what type of weapon, where it was found (i.e rucksack or pocket), the age and sex of pupil in possession of weapon, and in which school it was found? Can you specify if and how a child brandished or used the weapon against a pupil/member of staff in each case? What happened to the child caught with the weapon in each case (excluded/ reprimanded)? Were police involved? Can you also specify the month and year that each weapon was found? 
  2. In the past 10 years, how many fines have been issued for smoking in public areas in which smoking is prohibited? In each case, where specifically was the person smoking? What was the age and sex of the person fined? What was the month and year in which they were caught smoking and fined?
