Could you please tell me how many taxis have been used by the council every year since 2013.

I would also like to know how many taxis have been used to transport councillors, and how many have been used to transport council tenants.

I would like my answer broken down by month since the start of 2013 until the date of the receipt of this email.

Please also tell me what the longest journey was, and the shortest journey.

Please also tell me how much the single most expensive trip was, where it was to, where it was from and what it was carrying.

Please also tell me the total cost of all of these journeys combined, and which companies have been used.

This information is exempt under Section 12 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act - Excessive Cost of Compliance. The only time Members would need to use a Taxi would be if they were attending a meeting/conference in Edinburgh or Glasgow to get from the train station to venue i.e. Waverly Station to Victoria Quay, but this would be claimed via travel expenses. Accounts do confirm they may get claims for taxis through expenses but this isn't recorded separately so they wouldn't be able to identify what costs relate to taxis and they would have no record of the journeys themselves. There are about 800 forms every month. As these are all scanned it would take approximately 2 minutes per form to get the information. 

Our Housing department do advise that we don't use taxis for transporting tenants.
