Request for access to data held by Moray Council on injuries, diseases and dangerous occurrences that occurred in commercial entities in the UK.

Based on the information published on the HSE website, we are aware that your authority collect all of the requested information via the following RIDDOR forms from 1995 to present :

We would like to request the following information for those:

•  Under which local authority
•  Type of dangerous occurrence
•  Summary description of event

Report of a case of disease
•  Form ID number
•  Organisation name
•  Organisation Address
•  Incident location  
•  Dates
•  Incident time
•  Under which local authority
•  Disease category diagnosed
•  Specified diagnosed disease
•  Detail of the work activity that led to the disease
•  Summary description of event

We believe that this data would allow us to gain a better understanding of the regulatory in terms of workplace safety and public safety in businesses, and thereby produce insights that enables better decision-making process in both private and public sectors.
If it is difficult to manipulate the data such that it fits with our requirements as stated above, we would be happy to receive it in the format in which you store the data. The above list of fields are the minimum we would like, but do provide additional fields if that is easier.  If the data you store does not extend to 1995, please provide the data for the years that are available. We would also like to receive the data as an Excel/CSV file.

This information is exempt under Section 12 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002- Excessive cost of compliance. Due to the amount of records held, collating this information as asked would exceed the £600 limit. 

However we are aware that the HSE have advised all Local Authorities that, as the governing body for this information and the data processor, they will be providing a response directly to the requester on behalf of all Local Authorities in Scotland.
