FOI Request Fire Stopping in Schools
Please can you provide me with me a copy of any surveys or assessments, from the last three years, which assess the fire stopping or fire proofing measures in your schools’ estate.
This should include full details of any fire stopping issues uncovered, including a description of the problem, what school it is/was in and what remediation work is/was needed.
If relevant to your local authority, please can you tell me, to date, how much has been deducted from PPI/PPP unitary charges in relation to any fire stopping or fire proofing defects identified in schools.
This information is exempt under Section 12 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002- Excessive cost of compliance. The Health & Safety Team of Moray Council undertake Fire Safety Risk Assessments on all our properties, including the 60-plus buildings that are used by Schools within Moray. The time and resources required to identify and scrutinise each document for the time period requested to obtain this specific information would exceed the £600 limit
