Please outline the Council’s policy position on implementation of the Scottish Living Wage as the minimum hourly pay rate in commissioned care work.
Please outline what steps the Council is taking to ensure commissioned providers comply with this policy.

There is currently no Moray Council policy position on commissioned care providers’ implementation of the Scottish Living Wage. We do currently ask if a supplier pays or intends to pay the Living Wage in our tendering process however points are not awarded for responses.
After the tenders for these contracts have been agreed the contracts are currently not being enforced/audited regarding the implementation of the Living Wage, this is the current practice and any contract that highlights a continued improvement by the supplier/provider will be monitored
