Moray Music Centre
Moray Music Centre offers school aged children and young people from across Moray who play an orchestral or wind/brass band instrument an opportunity to participate in a regional ensemble.
Participation in an ensemble not only develops a young musician’s instrumental playing, teamwork, and listening skills; but has a positive impact on mental health and develops personal and social skills. Moray Music Centre gives young musicians an opportunity to meet other like-minded children and young people from across Moray and to play with and learn from their peers.

Taster Day – Saturday 23 August 2025
Young musicians and their parents/carers are invited to attend the first rehearsal together – a chance to see what Moray Music Centre is ‘all about’; to meet the staff and the other players; and to get a feel for playing in an ensemble.
Registration is now open for all returning players, however registration ahead of time will not be necessary for those who want to come along to give it a go before committing. N.B. Transport can only be provided for young musicians who have registered in advance.
Registration
Registration is now open and will close on Sunday 17 August 2025 to allow time to finalise transport arrangements. All young musicians who require transport must complete a registration.
