Under the Freedom of Information Act, I request:
The total number of students studying modern languages at all levels in secondary schools in your local authority area in 2020/21 academic year.
I also request statistics for 2019/20 & 2018/19.

S4 to S6 pupils - all students who actually sat a modern language exam at SCQF level
S1 to S3 pupils – only data from 4 of the 8 secondary schools (records were not retained by all schools)
The figures for 2020/21 cover all 8 secondary schools.
