Libraries - How to Join?

Who Can Join?

Anyone who lives in, works in or studies in Moray can join the library - it's FREE.  Proof of your home address will be required on completion of the application form.  The application form can be completed at your local library or online.

Children Under 16

Children under 16 years of age require a parent, guardian, or carer to complete the application form on their behalf.

Visitors
Visitors to the area may also join the libraries service on a temporary basis.  Proof of your home address and a deposit of £10 (refundable) will be required.

Proof of Identity

Acceptable forms of identification for using the libraries service include:

  • Driving Licence
  • Current Utility Bill
  • NHS Registration Card (if address on card)
  • Photographic ID (if address included)
  • Current Bank/Building Society Statement
  • Prescription (if address included)
  • DWP Card/Book (if address included)
  • Young Scot Card

Acceptable forms of identification for visitors using the Learning Centre include:

  • Driving Licence
  • Passport
  • Photographic ID
  • National ID Card
  • Young Scot Card

You will also be asked to complete a Learning Centre application form.
