1. How many incidents of children (involving hitting, spitting, hair pulling or punching) being violent towards teachers or early years staff been reported to a head teacher or to the council in the years from 2019-2023 ? (numbers by year if possible and include the age of the children).
2. How many incidents have been reported of children being violent that have caused a teacher or early years worker to receive medical attention in the years from 2019-2023 ? (numbers by year if possible)

2. We would have to look in every staff file to get this information. This task would cost the Council in excess of £600 of staff time. In accordance with section 12 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (excessive cost), we are therefore unable to comply with this part of the request.
