2026 Non-Domestic Rates Bills - Action Needed
2026 Non-Domestic Rates Bills
On 1 April 2026 a nationwide revaluation of all non-domestic properties came into effect in Scotland.
A number of reliefs and reductions are determined by a property’s Rateable Value. To ensure that our Non-Domestic Rates database is up-to-date and reduction-awards conform to the 2026 Revaluation Rateable Values, we have cancelled all relief and reduction awards previously made to Non-Domestic Rates accounts. Cancellation is effective from 1 April 2026.
We now invite ratepayers who think that they are entitled to a relief or a reduction to reapply for it. All application forms, including those for the new reliefs and reductions which came into effect on 1 April 2026, can be found on our website.
In addition to ensuring that a ratepayer’s relief or reduction properly conforms to the 2026 Revaluation Rateable Values, reapplication ensures that we possess an updated application for a relief or reduction. By ensuring that only valid relief and reduction awards are made we are protecting the public purse.
If you have any questions about any of the reliefs or reductions listed on our website or the reapplication process, please contact us using the form listed on “Contact Us”
