Fisheries - Glenlatterach

Glenlatterach

Glenlatterach is a reservoir supplying water to Elgin and, for this reason, anglers must observe the conditions on the sign at the entrance.

Situated 7 miles south of Elgin, it can be approached via the A941, turning off opposite the sign to Millbuies.  The Moray Council operate this facility as a brown trout fishery and each season a stocking of 10"-12" fish takes place.
On a cautionary note, anglers are advised against wading when the reservoir is high as the bottom shelves steeply only a few feet from the bank.

This is one of the few brown trout fisheries is the area and its elevation, and feeling of remoteness belie its proximity to Elgin.
