The information leaflets below have been produced with the aim of providing assistance should you be considering a building or house improvement project, submitting an application for building warrant or have encountered problem due to work that has been carried out without the necessary permissions having been obtained.

Our leaflet ‘Exempt Works' (6 pages, 63 KB)clarifies work that may be undertaken without a Building Warrant.  It is recommended however that in all cases, you confirm such exemptions with a Building Standards Officer.
