Council Tax Charge

The Moray Council set its Council Tax for the next financial year, 2010-11, at a meeting of the Council on 11th February, 2010.  The Council has continued to freeze its Council Tax charge at 2007-08 levels, the amount levied for properties in Band D remaining at £1,135.00. This means that there will be no rise in Council Tax bills for Council Taxpayers who pay both Water and Waste Water charges to the Scottish Water Authority via their Council Tax bill (the Scottish Water Authority previously announced a decrease in its 2010-11 Water Charge and an increase in its 2010-11 Waste Water Charge, the net effect of which was no increase in its total charge to domestic customers) .
