Functions
Committee Functions
The formal functions of committees are set out in Standing Orders and the Scheme of Administration in general, Committees may examine any matters that fall within their remit. Matters that fall within a Committee’s remit are referred to as competent matters.
Competence
Any questions regarding the remit of a Committee are determined by the Convener/Committee Chair.
In addition to the functions set out above, each Committee will take into account reports made by other Committees on matters for which it is the lead Committee; and may report to other Committees on matters for which they are the lead Committee, if invited to do so by the Council.
