Arts Development in Moray

General Information

Arts Development in Moray is at the forefront of rural arts development in Scotland. The Arts Team has hosted two visits by the Royal Shakespeare Company, two major collaborations with the National Theatre of Scotland and has been responsible for a unique an innovative visual arts project as part of the national Hungry for Success initiative

Partnerships

Partnerships with other organisations have enabled resources to go further and programmes and projects to extend to all parts of Moray whether it be activities in small village halls or a visit by the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Moray Council is a partner in NEAT (North East Arts Touring) along with Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Councils.  The 3 councils make an annual contribution to NEAT which also receives Scottish Arts Council funding. Through NEAT, touring theatre and dance performances are brought to the area either as direct NEAT promotions or through independent promoters supported by NEAT.  For further information, please visit the NEAT website at www.neatshows.org.uk
