The Register Office is within the Council Buildings sited on Mid Street.  Despite being on the main shopping thoroughfare, the rear entrance leads you into the tranquil setting of the Marriage Room beautifully decorated with floral drapes and artefacts inherited from a local benefactor of Linn House.

The marriage ceremony, which can be a private service of the bridal party only or can be witnessed by up to 50 guests, takes place in front of the old carved dresser on which sits old candelabrums and a clock which assures you of a setting that befits such a special occasion.
