 Availability of Grants

Grants are available every financial year.  The closing date is 30 September each year.  Grant applications that were received before 30 September 2011 will be considered at a meeting after the closing date, usually in November 2011 or December 2011.  Grant applications received from 3 October 2011 onwards will be considered after the next closing date - 30 September 2012.

Who Can Apply?

Grants are available to

• persons resident in the former County of Banffshire,
• school pupils or young persons attending Banff County schools or further education centres or resident in Banff County,
• Banff County schools and further education centres and
• clubs and organisations operating for the benefit of persons belonging to the County of Banff

Grants are means tested, the upper limit of household earnings is £34,195.

Guidelines and Application Forms

Please note that the closing date for applications in 2011/2012 is Friday 30 September 2011.  New applications will be considered at the annual meeting of the Joint Board, which is likely to take place in November 2011 or December 2011.

• Application Form  This form should be used by further and higher education students    
• Travel Application Form    This form should be used by school pupils claiming grants towards school trips
• Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form This form should be completed by all applicants
• Benefits Form - Applicants This form should be completed by applicants in receipt of benefits
• Benefits Form - Parents This form should be completed by applicants in receipt of benefits
• Sports Grants This form should be used by Sports Clubs that benefit young people in Banffshire
• Clubs This form should be used by Clubs in Banffshire that have functions and activities of an educational nature
• Drama, Music & Visual Arts This form should be used by schools and organisations in Banffshire that promote education in Drama, Music and Visual Arts
