Training Grants

Grants may be made to Registered Teachers with permanent contracts with The Moray Council to enable them to attend courses at home or abroad, or generally pursue any activity likely to increase their efficiency and effectiveness as teachers. In previous years, teachers have been awarded grants for a variety of educational purposes including attendance on Vocational Courses and participation in Private Study and Correspondence Courses. Grants were not awarded for projects that appeared to be substantially of a holiday nature.

The closing date for applications is 30 April each year.  Applications are considered by the Trustees at meetings in February and May.

Equipment Grants

Schools in The Moray Council area and schools "in the area comprising the former county of Moray and the former parishes of Abernethy and Duthill all lying within the Badenoch and Strathspey District of Highland" are eligible to apply for Equipment Grants under Section 24 of the Dick Bequest Trust Scheme Equipment.

Grants are available in 2011, the closing date is 30th September.  Applications should be submitted through the Head Teacher of the school.  Head Teachers will be informed of the outcome of their application around the end of October.

The availability of Equipment Grants in 2012 will be advised in the weekly bulletin on the intranet following the meeting of the Trustees in May.
