Moray Training - New Deal

New Deal Environmental Task Force 18 - 24 Year Olds

Moray Training is the Lead Body for the Environment Task Force (ETF) option of New Deal within Moray, and has held this contract since 1998. Clients are offered the opportunity to gain work experience and qualifications within Horticulture, Forestry and Rural Skills. The opportunity to work towards achieving their driving licence is also offered, and can be the difference between employment and unemployment in this rural area. The ETF option has been expanded over the last year to include; ChildCare, Catering, Health Service Sector and Local Government Administration.

New Deal Employed Option

The Moray Council is participating in the Employer Option of New Deal. Moray Training is responsible for preparing an Individual Training Plan for all New Deal appointments within this option, providing employer/department support, and any required training/qualifications to employed individuals.

New Deal 25+ Unemployed for 18 Months or More

Moray Training delivers this opportunity to long term unemployed over the age of 25, in partnership with the Employment Service and Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations. This is a difficult client group, who require intensive support in their work experience. Training can consist of ETF placement or placement with a local employer.
