Freedom of Information - About the Publication Scheme

The purpose of the Publication Scheme is to ensure that the widest amount of information is made available to you without you having to make a specific request.

Each department within the Council has had a close look at the information it holds and the most frequent information requested from the public in selecting information to be published within the Publication Scheme. Tell us if you think there is anything we have missed out.

"Publication" includes a wide range of information from leaflets, bound documents/leaflets to web based information.

The Publication Scheme is available through the information pages on the Council’s website. It can be viewed in electronic form on your home PC or the PCs at Council Access Points and Libraries (where a paper copy can also be made available).

The Publication Scheme is in English. If you have any difficulty in understanding the Scheme or you require assistance then staff at the Council Access Points and Libraries will be pleased to help. Alternatively send an e-mail to info@moray.gov.uk.

The Council continuously updates the Publication Scheme. The existing scheme expires in 2009 and our new scheme, for which we have adopted the new local authority model publication scheme, is currently being assessed for approval by the Office of the Scottish Information Commissioner (June 2009). If you have any suggestions on how we could improve the Scheme or would like to tell us about any information which is incorrect or out of date please contact info@moray.gov.uk.
