Children's Library Services

Whether you're looking for your next favourite novel, help with your homework, or want to take up a new hobby, your library is the place to be.

Joining your local library is a step in the right direction as all the research shows those children who read and are exposed to books do better in life, educationally and socially.

When the birth of a child is registered in Moray, the parent is given the child’s library card.  This scheme is called Every Child a Library Member and ensures that no one is missed out. All you need to do is bring the card along to your local library to be activated and then your child can access everything in our libraries.

Books & Spoken Word CDs
We have picture books for babies and toddlers – and some for older children too. And we have novels for newly confident readers, for those who love to read and for children who find reading more of a challenge. Some books are available on CD.

All of our libraries also have a selection of non-fiction to support school work and for general interest.

Events & Activities
We run a variety of events and activities across Moray for all age groups and interests. Click on the buttons below for more information.
