Criminal Justice - Court Fines

If you are taken to court in a criminal case and you are found guilty, the court may order you to pay a fine.  Some common criminal cases are:-

  • theft
  • assault
  • drunk driving
  • not having motor insurance
  • failing to pay your TV licence

Fine Supervision Order

A Fine Supervision Order is an Order made by the court when you have been allowed time for payment of the fine.

Its purpose is to provide you with advice and guidance from a Social Worker, but it is your responsibility to keep up the payments on your fine.
