A Supervised Attendance Order (SAO) may be imposed as a direct alternative to a fine. An SAO can be between 10 and 100 hours depending on the amount of the outstanding fine.   Individuals on a SAO will be expected to undertake various modules related to education, employment, budgeting and daily life skills.
