Quarter 4 update:
Preparatory work has begun building upon the work undertaken as part of the Carbon Management Plan.
Plan is complete and will need to be launched to all staff. This will be in the form of awareness raising campaigns scheduled for Spring/Summer 2009 with various projects delivered over the next five years.

Waste Strategy to be implemented

Quarter 4 update: Committee decision is required to move forward with proposals.

Innovative ways of reducing the creation of waste will be supported

Quarter 4 update:
Innovative ways of reducing waste can only be addressed at a national level and the Scottish Government is currently undertaking this.
The Council are tracking national developments.
Investigations by the Council’s waste section on the forward have concluded and we are now waiting on Committee decision on these proposals.
